Would you like a woman to buy you things?

For 9 years my ex bf took care of me while i was in severe depression. We are still best friends and still see each other. Last night I decided to treat him to a night out. Well this didn't happen. He opted for pizza. I payed without hesitation. Then we went to get him some beer. When we got there i asked him to stay and bought him twice the amount he usually gets. We then drove to wal-mart to get me a fishing license. (which I payed for) On the way out i told him how nice a set of mens hawaiian shirts were. He said he liked the blue ones so i told him to pick him out an outfit if he wanted and he did. This morning I paid for the snacks and drinks on our fishing trip.

Now for the question. He never said Thank You for anything. Do men like women who do this for them every once in a while? He has WAY more cash than i do so its not like he is poor.

i expect the women to chip in once in a while. why should us men have to pay for everything all the time. yes i would pay to take a girl out for a nice date if were going steady for a year or so but if women want equal rights they should definitely chip in
