what do you call a lamp/light that starts at the fllor and goes all the way to the ceiling?

I have a lamp that is like a rod with three lights that come of the sides of it. It goes all the way to the ceiling and is secured with prssure from a spring or something. Its pretty old and would like to learn more about it but dont know the name of it.

A floor lamp.

The other option would be a table lamp, but that is not what you describe.
