Elder scrolls oblivion thieves guild ahdarji's heirloom?

im doing the thieves guild quest where you have to steal the ring from the countess, and i went to the jewelry box and found minor treasure, bot not the ring. I want to do the thieves guild quest line but this wont let me move on, anyone have any suggestions.
p.s. this is on the xbox360
ive tried it multiple times and the first time i got arrested and they took all the jewelry. And is the ring called adharjis ring or something like that, if not please tell me what it is.

You are probably glitched. To fix that problem, try to:

→Turn off your console
→Remove the disc and everything from the console
→Clean the disc and the console.
→Also try to clean up your console

Then, try to get back on the game without having the same problem.
