Is Tahiti a very different from Hawaii?

I have been to Hawaii maybe over 10 times in the last 5 years and got a bit tired of it. No desire to go there again for now.

Now I have an opportunity to go to Tahiti, to Bali Hai resort.
Is this experience going to be very different from Hawaii, or it's very close or about the same?
I am just trying to see if it makes sense for me to go to Tahiti, or I better go somewhere else.

Hawaii receives as much visitors in a week as Tahiti does in a year...

I would say that Tahiti might look like Hawaii decades ago.

On a side note, I would not recommend the Bali Hai...
